Anybody recommend a US Export Agent?

Hi all,

Im in the process of buying an XLR, and I was talking to Kyle and he said I'll need to get myself setup with an Export Agent since I live in an EU country.

Can anybody recommend an Agent, and maybe any advice you might have regarding the whole process.

Also I need an export permit. How/Where do I get one of those?

Not sure how your country works things, but here in my country, all that was needed was to actually find an IMPORTER.

Simply because, the importer here in my country deals with/works with certain EXPORTERS in the supplying country.

Once you find an importer, then THEY will contact one of their exporters in the supplying country, and have the item sent to THEM. That exporter would then apply to the State Department (US) for an export permit. (Yes, the actual item will be sitting there with the exporter for this whole time. Usually months, many months)

Then when the State Department finally decides that the item is good-to-go and grants the ever-lovin' approval, said exporter ships the item to your importer.

The item will then be stopped/inspected/verified by the customs agents in your country, and finally on its way to your importer. Then, and only then, can you arrange with your importer to pick up the item after paying for all these fees/services/shipping charges/kickbacks/grafts/bribes and other assorted costs.

Then you get to play with your new part! Or something like that.

custom rifle from US however due to various reasons (one being running costs through my finance minister aka wife) i've decided to postpone that purchase indefinitely

I dropped them an email last night. It seems thats who XLRindustries recommend aswell.
