At the range last night getting my zero & dialing my final yardages for an upcoming elk hunt on my BlackOps .300 Win Mag hunting rifle.

After each shot, I noticed that the recoil was actually turning on the illumination of my scope. The turret wasn't pulled out completely like you'd do to purposely turn it on, but it was just out far enough to activate the illumination.

Never seen that before on this scope - not a big probalem at all, but just curious if anyone else experienced this??

It has been known to happen occasionally. It is an easy fix to the detent in the illumination control. When convenient for you, call customer service at (208)476-9814 x201 to get an RMA and get it back to us so we can correct it.

I appreciate the help - thank you!!

It'll have to wait until after my elk hunt though, I am leaving on Sept. 6th & pretty much have the rifle dialed in to hopefully kill a big bull. I'll call when I get back & get it squared away.

Thanks again!!

Yes this has happened to me with my 338 lapua. NF made me send it back to them and less than a week they had it returned in my hands.. The switch actually got loose on the inside and as far as NF was concerned only their techs could do the repairs for warranty purposes.I could not have asked for better/faster quality service from a company. This is why i bought another NF.. and now own 3.

Buckey, you might reconsider not sending it back before the hunt. You could have the battery accidentally turned on and the battery go dead. It would suck if that big bull walks out right before dark and you go to turn on the illumination and it doesn't work.

NF is pretty quick at getting it back to you.
