Re: Anyone have Bighorn SA Sporter or Tact in stock?
I have been trying to keep a few at Third Generation Shooting Supply and at Trigger Time Gun Club, this helps me avoid being on the phone and allows me to get more done in the shop. Although with the orders and production levels I am having a hard time keeping up and most times I am 12 weeks out or more on deliveries. I am trying to up my production to get ahead of the orders but that hasn't happened yet. I have been working on a new model that will have an integral recoil lug in the Remmy position which will drop directly into all the chassis systems. This should solve the problems with my action being .300 longer and the need for spacers or modifications to stocks. I am also working on a one piece bolt shaft and handle. It will still have a floating bolt head and a threaded on knob. These added features are going to force me to increase the price of this new action but I think the added benefits will be worth it. These new actions are not going to be readily available for some time and all that are in the 1st batch of production have been spoken for. I have enough confidence in this new design that I have started a 2nd batch of 300 but with all the processes needed to make these they won’t be ready for months. As always my main goal is to do my best to make one of the highest quality actions on the market. Just for the record I have no plans on ever making an integral picatinny rail as I feel there is more flexibility with a screwed on rail. Hope this clears up some of the confusion. And I apologies for the long waits but my 1st priority is quality my production should increase with time as I get all my tooling, processes, and programs dialed in.
