I am looking to take a precision rifle course this spring....has to be open to non-leo/non-mil. Anyone have any ideas in the minnesota, wisconsin, iowa or south dakota area???

We are planning a course this summer at the Varmint Hunter Association's Range in Ft. Pierre, SD that will include a long range prairie dog hunt for those who want to stay an extra day to shoot. We will have more information on the website with dates and curriculum in the next couple of weeks. You can email or give us a call if you are interested and we'd be happy to visit about it. Thanks.

We have set dates for our PM30 course at the Varmint Hunter Association's range in Ft. Pierre, SD. This is a 3 day PR course centered around the .308WIN or .30-06 Springfield, although the course is open to additional cartridges that perform in the same range. Please inquire about this upon registering and we will tailor your course packet to your rifle platform and cartridge.
Dates for the course are June 14-16, 2010 with the additional day of Long Range Prairie Dog Hunting on June 17. Course tuition is $550 for the 3 day instruction and $650 for the 4 day instruction. Lunch meal is included in the tuition. We require a minimum of 300 rounds per person and ammunition can be provided at a discounted rate if you choose.

We are running a PM30 Caliber Course, but it is open to all cartridges that perform in that range. We also offer an additional day of Long Range Prairie Dog Hunting on the 17th, for those who are interested. This is our practical application of the information taught.
