Guys, I have yet to see a stud to rail adaptor I'd use on a personal rifle. ALL of the ones I've seen rely on existing sling stud and a pin that is then used to add tension to secure to stock. Note of fair warning - "DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN" which means, to get it tight, so the whole afair does not rotate, you run a fair chance of stripping it. Another style requires a second hole to be drilled, which is incovenient and does alter the stock, BUT it does secure, without question, the rail. AND both styles will mar the stock where the "universal" angle or radius contacts the stock. So, if you're going to do what is right, then drill a second hole and instal a small pic rail and rest assurd your sling mount won't come apart and nobody is going to discount the value of a hunting or shooting rifle because you have a pic rail on the forend. Yes, we sell a pic rail that is 2.05", but any rail will work. Doing a sling stud to rail adapter has been on my list of projects, to copy what has already been done is easy, its just nothing I would rely on for carrying a rifle with. And I just cannot get comfortable using same single sling stud for both sling AND bipod which is why it's still on the project list! LOL
Triva, we did rail mount only bipods because why?
Because SCAR required it AND too many shooters were pulling sling studs out of thier stocks
