Anyone with a Dead Air Primal?

Does anyone have first hand experience with the Primal? Bouncing around the idea of getting one and calling it a day...instead of collecting stamps. Have a Mask on the way, considered the 30 cal Nomad-L, but wondering if the primal might be better since I really don't want to keep buying suppressors. There is a chance I will get a 458 SOCOM down the road, so that is why I'm thinking .46 cal suppressor instead of the 30 cal.

Mine is still in jail so I can't provide any first hand feedback. But everything I've read from those who have used it and other large bore cans says it is a toss up between the Primal and the SiCo Hybrid. I also looked into the Griffin Bushwhacker but stellar reviews were much less common than the Primal and Hybrid.

I hate making these decisions.....Nomad-L is super quiet which is great. I shoot mostly 223...But in the off chance down the road if I get a 458 SOCOM (something about that caliber makes me giddy), I don't want to go out and buy another suppressor.

I also have a Nomad-L in jail. My first can was a 6.5 TBAC Ultra 7. I wanted a do-all 30 cal do I bought the Nomad-L. I was going to stop there then I was able to find a new Marlin Trapper. I've been looking for one for months. That sold me on the Primal. I also have plans on playing with 45 Raptor down the line.

The big bore cans will not be anywhere near as quiet on the smaller cartridges as you would hope. The "do-all" cans don't do anything particularly well when it comes to cartridges much smaller than the bore diameter. I would opt for a Nomad-L or Nomad-LT, and then in the off-chance you get a .458 Socom, get a Primal.

Trust me, you'll start collecting stamps... It gets addicting.

Don't expect it to be good on .223 - .30 cal.

If you have a 458, 450, 45-70, etc it would be worth considering.

Agreed with everyone saying to hold off. A .300cal can is a great all-rounder without being huge. You can always get the primal (or something cheaper like a Rex .458) if you get the .458 gun

Post is older any updates on a primal with 300 blk? Also would changing the endcap to a 7.62 or 9mm size help keep noise down over the 458 size endcap it comes with?

No experience with it, but from my Wolfman, yes it would be quieter with the appropriately sized end cap.
