We just got back from Iowa and our first completed Presidential package hunt.
I believe the results speak for themselves:

I wish I shot it!
The entire package is this. The customer comes out for a visit, we spec. the rifle out, build the rifle, work up a load, spend a fair amount of time training the shooter to shoot and reload if they desire, then take them on an awesome hunt of a lifetime at the Timberghost ranch. I personally travel with them to film the hunt. Getting in at the Timberghost can take while. Getting in to shoot something like this pretty much won't happen with a phone call. I have a few customers that hunt there every year. They have earned the right to hunt the first hunts from repeat business for a loooong time. It helped make the introduction that eventually brought this package to fruition.

The rifle is a 284 shooting 162's but it's not "Precious". He liked Precious so much that he had me build his rifle just like it. No one handles Precious but me!

The deer ended up scoring 281 & 3/8 and if you count the broken tine 286 & 3/8.

Open the gate & shoot the fenced inbred 'lookin bucks. Not my style of whitetail hunting , but probably was fun to watch & film.

Cool pic, thanks for sharing.

Re: APA Presidential hunt 2011

Everyone feels different about hunting high fence. The only way to get deer like that is in a controlled environment but they are still wild animals. It's 1000 acres in the main area with thousands outside for non rifle hunts. If you don't think they are wild go try and pet one and see what happens. It's not what people think. We've all seen the nightmare things on the web where it's a "caged" ordeal. This isn't that at all.
Hell pretty much all of South Africa is high fenced game ranches. You don't hear too much complaining about that on the web do ya. What's the difference. Wild is wild regardless of the presence of a fence or not as long as its a large chunk of property. Just my two cents.
