I'm new to smart phones and very much bad with electronic gadgets.
I have been using the Android version Applied Ballistics app.
I just purchased a Kestrel 5000 with link. I found the Kestrel link app in the play store and installed it on my phone.
I can see my Kestrels data on the kestrel link app.
When opening the Applied Ballistics app I press the 3 dot menu in the upper right corner and "configure Kestrel".
There is a short scan and my Kestrel pops up on the screen and I select it.
After selecting a firearm and ammunition I arrive at the Environment screen.
I expected the atmosphere data to be automatically filled in, it was not.
I press the 3 dot menu in the upper right corner and select "acquire atmosphere". A menu appears with Kestrel listed.
I select "kestrel" and hit ok. This brings me to acquire target heading compass? Even after selecting a point on the compass I'm back to the Environment screen without any data filled in for the atmosphere.
I m way over my head here and almost positive I'm doing something wrong. I hope this makes since.
Short version is how does Kestrel fill in Applied Ballistics app?
