cool. basically the plan, so far, is the pri one, it looks like the larue low profile, which I really like. Going to take an ops inc supporter collar for an ops inc 3rd model 12 and affix it dead-smack against the gas block and then cut the barrel down(it'll be a 20" LMT SS barrel) so that the ops inc thread mounting brake will be set perfectly to allow:
1) a flush fit with the glass block to allow for a tight more compact fit of the suppressor.
2) allow for any excess gas and crap to be regulated out of the receiver
3) smoother cycling and controlled recoil of the weapon for faster follow-up shots.
Probably going to let mike rock do it if they'll accommodate me.
The PRI block looks to be the best bet. lowest profile, shortest length and seems to have a very sensitive yet sturdy adjustment port. rather than having set modes, I can take a tool and adjust it to the slightest degree necessary.
Basically take that puppy once it's set up and replace the barrel on an LMT CL setup and hopefully the end result will be a compact m110-ish rifle with better performance. Going to try and get an FDE prs stock with the limbsaver pad from bushmaster. We'll see what happens. Got the can and a vortex viper HD waiting here at home for it. Probably going to use my bobro mount.
I was going the OBR route but was then informed by larue that we'd have to do the modifications manually and it's just too much of a pain in my opinion. With this, all that's required is simply remove the old barrel and bolt in the new one(in a manner of MINUTES), headspace that bitch and we're good. On top of that save myself about $800 from what I can tell in getting the prs, geissele and miad.
