TX, Harris
New to board.
I did a couple of searches.
I am looking for a bipod for my AR.
I have a standard full length front end.
No weaver rail on the bottum.
Is there a bipod that attaches to the lug? Do I have to put it on the sling swivel? Any help is appreciated.

Re: AR-15 bipod

As long as your AR-15 has the standard A2 handguards (round vent holes at 6 o'clock on the bottom), you want the Harris HB5 adapter (just a standard swivel stud and backing that fits inside the HG). Remove the standard handguards and install the HB5 with the hardware included in the lower half of the handguards at the hole in the handguard that best suits the position you want the bipod at. No permanent alteration and absolutely no need to attach anything to the barrel. Then you can add whichever Harris bipod best suits your height requirements (I prefer the Harris BRM-S...6-9", leg-notch, swivel).
