Can someone talk me out of a Geissele mount? I keep getting drawn to this mount when looking at everything out there. I used to a be Larue proponent, and tried some ADM which I like better, but I have been reading a bunch of Frank's posts about vertical rings fukin up in a precision role, and I'd rather get it right for sure. The Spuhr is probably what I would go with if it weren't $400+, but that is just too much for me to part with. The Geissele is right on the fence there, leaning between high priced and offensively priced, so it's not out of the running yet. If the mount has no flaws, I'd get it without regret, but I do wish it were $50-$100 cheaper.

Is Aero Precision not good enough? I've never used them though. I've considered them for AR15, non precision work for LPV

If you're AR is a standard barrel, mil spec I'd go with Aero for $70 or so.

If it's a DMR/SPR style, I'll let others that know more give better advice.

Aero looks like a decent one, but I am the kind of guy who might wish they went a better route later down the line. The buy once cry once thing is definitely me, and I have wasted a bunch of dough in the past buying things I ended up returning for a better product. The Seekins mount looks good too.

Laure has been fine for LPV optics for years. Geissele can be had cheap if you wait to major holiday sales or snag a blem. Why not use the ARC 1 piece mount? Pretty sure a version of the Badger unimount is on the M110, works fine. People seem to gnash teeth over mounts more than they should, an example being going with spuhr over geissele or arc BC they figure more contact area makes it harder to slip. sure, makes sense, but when was the last time a properly torqued scope slipped in any of the above?

What kind of discount does Geissele offer on holidays? I would use the ARC one piece, but it doesn't have any cantilever, so it might not make it on the upper.

I would recommend against split rings per Frank Galli on multiple platforms on multiple occasions including PMs from the old site for anything approaching "precision"

I've used LT104s before with no issues LVPO

I'm not sure what prices you're considering for the Geiselle, but if you call vendors vs. just adding to cart online, you can using get enough of a discount on Spuhr to make it pretty competitive for its quality.

I was able to handle a Geissele today and it is a great mount. I ended up ordering a Seekins MXM to try, and if I don’t like it, I’ll just return it and get the Geissele

That AAD mount is bad. I actually never looked at one before. Close to the Geissele in price. That design looks crazy strong

I have been using Aadmounts for the majority of my scope tests pretty much since they came out. They are pretty much indestructible. I still have a Gen 1 mount that I reamed out to 35mm and it is now used with reducers to hold my 30mm SWFA SS 5-20x50, three Gen 2 mounts (two 34/35mm ones and one 30mm) and one Gen 3 35mm with inserts to work with 30mm scopes.

In other words, I have faith in the product.

Last Black Friday they were offering 25% off on their super precision mounts.

Link to image of their last deals.

I have a NF unimount as well as a Bobro single lever QD mount and would highly recommend both for AR unimounts. The LaRue LT104 is extremely popular. Really can go wrong with a Geissele mount or a Knights Armament either.

After looking at that AAD mount, I would say it trumps the Spuhr in my opinion. Thing is an absolute beast. I will consider this one too if I don't like the Seekins

Got the Seekins in hand. Looks like a solid piece of work for sure. I think it stacks right up there with the Geissele from what I can tell, having handled both. Only difference is the Geissele has 2 more lugs, which may be a little overkill

Where did you find the seekins been looking around and everyone is out of stock

Got mine from SWFA. 34mm 20 MOA. Without truly testing it out yet, I can tell you that this thing is rock solid; a tank. Feels just as good as the Geissele, except the Geissele has nuts while the MXM has T25 cross bolts. I like nuts a little better because of the ease of use, but these T25 bolts are really damn strong.

Just saw this thread. Not sure if anyone posting here is interested, but I have a Seekins MXM 30mm, OMOA that was sitting on an RPR and needs a home. Shoot me a PM and we can get it figured out.

Very well made mount - just like the Seekins rings.

I think Giessele makes good stuff but Seekins looks really good and is cheaper.

you mentioned Spuhr but I don't see that as an AR mount. for a bolt gun I've been looking at Badger Ordnance and Nightforce as cheaper options...
