it's been a few months since I was purchasing but I had to go through ARC to get what I wanted.
I wonder when the actions ordered before the price increase will start shipping?

I ordered one the Saturday before the increase and I’ve had it since last week Thursday.
I ordered 4 the last day of old pricing, they are shipping this week.
Good to see the LA with the hunter bottom metal and mag. Hoping to swap out my early version soon. I prefer the hunter mag vs aics.
First time I've had multiple projects going at once so super behind on this build.

My CDG is a 300 Norma Mag Imp. Got about 28 more rounds to fire form, but just working up charges to form and check pressure is very very promising.
worked up in .5 gr incriments and they were all sub 1/2. Don't even plan to use this bullet (230 OTM) but I suppose it could be a back up.
In the next week or two, I plan to start working up loads with the 250 Atips and RL33.

Yes, at least mine does just fine. Some early users were reporting a feeding problem with max mag length 300PRC rounds due to a slight ledge at the front of the action. I’m not sure if that continues to be an issue.
I’m sure there are some here that can clarify if that continues to be an issue.

After some barrel drama with another vendor which I shall not name and a replacement action donated free of charge to me by Ted, I finally made it to where I hoped to get when I started this project.
Coming from AI's and TRG's, I was relative new to this segment so I tried a few different stocks to see what I would like best. My initial idea was a "TRG-22 like" rifle for its amazing ergos with AW mags (a must) giving me the best of both worlds in a slightly lighter package with a carbon barrel and using the TRG bipod for its low CG and great stability. It's been at least 15 years since I bedded my Tikka actions in McMillan stocks. Thankfully that is now no longer needed with all the chassis' and mini chassis' available.
So I started with the Manners LRH but the ergos on the Manners did not work for me. More specific, the distance from palm swell to trigger is to large for my fairly normal sized hands. I ended up with my hand floating next to the stock forward of the palm swell in order to get good trigger placement and after a while of putting up with it and making excuses for it, I could not "sell" it to myself any longer. They are very nice stocks but for the money spent, they should fit me better, so I got rid of them. Then I tried the KRG. Its a little heavier and it needed some milling for the trigger hanger to fit. Thankfully the gentlemen who sold the chassis to me was happy to help me out with that. Its a perfect fit for me, comfortable with great ergos and I am very happy with the result.
I have to mention that coming from ZCO, a variety of Benders and even some older Premiers over the years, this "budget" Vortex scope took me by surprise. I was looking for a relative cheap scope I could use for a little while and sell after I made up my mind on what I wanted to buy for this rifle. I picked it up new in box here at the PX for a great price and to be honest, I don't know if I can ever justify spending twice that for another scope again. She doesn't leave me wishing for much if anything really. Vortex came a long way in the last 15 years and I am certainly not in a rush to replace it.
After a little tinkering with the trigger hanger screw, I am very happy how smooth this action runs and how light the bolt lift is. Compared to my AI's she has a substantially lighter bolt lift. She also feeds much better using AW mags than my TRG which was always an issue for the first 2 rounds. I don’t miss those overpriced crappy TRG mags!!
ARC is a fantastic company to deal with. They stand behind their product and even jumped in and offered to help out when things got derailed due to errors from others, completely beyond their control. Classic old fashioned quality customer service and I am very grateful for the way they helped me out. I can't say this enough.
She definitely is a shooter. Thus far I only have taken her to 600 yards ringing steel. But thats kinda boring with this setup to be honest. I hope to find the time to go to another range soon with some greater distances available.

Thank you all for sharing your experiences and inspiring others such as myself to "build" our dream rifles. It was quite an experience and not entirely without bumps in the road. I learned a lot and Its certainly a different experience vs buying an AI with a bunch of barrels or a TRG and calling it a day. However, each of them had their drawbacks. There is no such thing as perfection..but this rifle here is pretty damn close, at least, to me.

did you change your firing pin spring yet?
buy the 70N spring and put it in the bolt, talk about light bolt lift, it's crazy.

Thank you and no, I haven't changed any springs yet. I will keep that in mind for the future. Will be fun to try.
Is the barrel bender someone folks from here have the potential to get screwed by also?
Love the setup and yup, I had a similar experience.
Finally got my CDG together and made it out to the range. I had Southern Precision spin up a 22inch Bartlein carbon barrel chambered in 223 Remington and used MDT metal mags which have fed smoothly with no modifications. I will need to look in to a scope that doesn’t weigh as much, perhaps a Night Force NX8 would be a good fit.

Also the CDG went up to $1,200 looks like we all got good pricing on ours!

The barrel definitely did not come out in the color I wanted it to be. Oddly, the chassis is more blue than the picture shows. I think it’s the lack of sunlight…

As I said, that barrel didn’t come out the way I wanted it to…
I will say that it’s kind of odd how the color of the barrel is sometimes more blue and sometimes more purpleish.
I am fairly happy with that rifle though

Thank you. On the bix chart it says low for arc actions, but with the trigger hanger on a cdg I wondered if a low would be too short.
As mentioned, based on the actions I measured a bix medium sear is right in the middle of the acceptable engagement range chart on a CDG.
Archimedes and Nucleus on the other hand usually need low sears on a bix, they have rather short cocking piece to trigger pin dimensions (my 4x Archimedes measured around 0.154-0.155" IIRC, which puts even the low sear nearly out of spec, and I had to use low sears on my 2x Nucleus before I sold them.)

Did you have to make any mods to the Hunter bottom metal for the trigger hanger? I'm finally getting around to finishing my 300 WSM and was trying to mentally prepare myself to have to remove some material somewhere. I have a mill....but I'm not a machinist lol
