Truth there. In my half century plus, I only saw empty food store shelves, big box shelves, during the following occasions:
1) prediction of 1" of snow or more (it's the south...freak out).
2) Hurricane (different part of the south).
At no time do I remember this: "We're sorry, this product is currently unavailable." We truly have lost The Republic.
