For the record I mentioned the V10 (which has been done several times here, it is a bipod for .338 up calibers) but this last time, a sharp minded member inquired with "what is the V9?" I should have said; the V9 is nothing. But was thinking about the project now known as "V9" as it is next up (well actually it is after the mortar but we should have that tomorrow so I was thinking downstream). Simply put, too much stuff going through the gray mass so please accept my apologies.
Being the situation is what it is, I will say the following;
1. I've taken an oath not to disclose the details about the "V9"
2. Our part number for the project currently known as V9 will not be "V9". (I took artistic license with our Bipod numbering system, skipping V9 for "V10" for use on the bipod mentioned above. We wish to keep bipods using that "V" numbering system and the other stuff from B&T Industries getting the "BT" prefix. So maybe BTV9?)
2. The project currently known as V9 is NOT A BIPOD. It is a departure from anything we have done to date.
3. We have taken some reservations (by force!
)for the project currently known as V9. (no additional information will be available to those making such reservations and we will still limit first production run to a manageable number).
4. As this exposure was not intentional and I blame only myself, my best suggestion is to suggest that you lower your expectations and try to get use to disappointment.
LAST - To be clear, the V9 IS NOT A BIPOD.
The V10 will not be replacing the V8 bipod. The acceptance we are getting from the SOF community with the V8 bipod it will remain our premier bipod for standard caliber rifles where high functionality and light weight are required.
The V10 will borrow patented features from the V8 and possibly some additional novelty. It will have HIGHLY TENSIONABLE pan and cant and a configuration different to the V8. It will not be as adaptable to some rifle stocks as the V8. It is designed for big bore rifles where additional weight and bulk is not an issue.
I have no availability ETA on either project. </div></div>
Well in that note, my v8.1 has just been ordered... Hopefully I'll have it by tue
