My LRA is much easier to use than my 5H. I have not figured out how to use the 5H properly and I don't understand exactly how to make it do what I need. The LRA is very simple and very nice. The 5H, I think Kasey needs to put a rush on that video explaining how to properly use it.

Since you have both, any gripes about durability of the LRA? Or is it rock solid? I don't want a $450 bipod I have worry about.

If the legs on the LRA had too hard of an impact they might be damaged, but it has not happened to me, so I don't know how hard that would be. Whichever you get it won't be long until you want to add a QD. These bipods are two wide to fit in a pelican case when attached to a rifle, and if left on the rifle thwy would turn a 60 gun safe into a four gun safe, so they need to come on and off a lot.

I am pretty happy with the standard Atlas bipods or a Harris on my DTA. I do have a 5H I use for longer distance shooting and am very happy with it. Based on the looks of the LRA and the reputation behind Atlas products I would go for the 5H again. That being said, Eurooptic doesn't carry junk so the LRA is probably very nice as well.

I have an LRA on my 338 LM improved, with a 32" heavy profile barrel and an A5 supermag stock it's a beast for sure, the LRA handles the weight just fine, can't see how the legs could be damaged really, unless I drove off with the gun on my tailgate lol. I've shot rigs with the 5H too, that's why I went with the LRA, the swivel on the LRA is smoother & much easier to adjust IMO. As to the quick disconnect, have never needed it, it all fits in my drag bag just fine and as far as the safe goes, I just have everything arranged so the gun rides in the front row, no space problems whatsoever. Extremely stable and solid, easy adjustment of leg height & angle. Love it.

I can't speak to the Atlas but I went with the LRA light tactical on one of three DTA's. It's much sturdier tha the Harris on my Covert, and more stable than the EI Revolution on my HTI. The long leg model is right for my setup. I went with the light tactical because the F Class seemed too wide to easily fit in my case without detaching it. Considering F Class for HTI. Highly recommended.

I have the F-class but haven't gotten a chance to use it. I notice it has a bit of play to the legs like the original atlas. I don't mind it but is that supposed to be there? I also got an atlas PSR in recently and that has no play at all.

Play in the legs similar to the atlas BT10. It'll wiggle slightly so it doesn't feel solid but not as much movement as a BT10.

I actually prefer a little bit of play so it's not necessarily a bad thing.

I looked at a couple others today and one had no play at all, and another had significantly more than mine. Both were the light tactical model.

Yeah, I wondered because my F class LRA has no play in it at all. Sounds like they need to tighten up there QC a little...
