Bottom line fellas, is I work for the third largest Law Enforcement Agency in California and we are the third largest in population. Like everyone else out there, fiscal times are tight and the county budgets are not going to anty up to pay for very many things at the moment. There are grant funds available to make these very types of purchases, and that's what I inquired about.
Trust me when I say the grant process is not easy and they don't just hand out the funds like candy during a parade. Most grants take over a year to be approved and merchandise delivered. My team just took possession of NVGs that were grant purchased. It was over two years for the entire process.
I am looking toasted suppressors because they have many advantages, but we are also looking at other options like noise canceling headsets.
For the cost of supplying my whole team with suppressors, it would take probably one workers comp issue to surpass it. And once your hearing is gone, there's no getting it back.

Like I said you got an up hill fight and considering all the negativity here I doubt you will get it approved by a government slammed with bureaucracy and redundancy. I suggest saving your money my friend.
, the manufacturer, the magazine AND the public as long as the story provides good information. Heck, even the taxpayer comes out unscathed on this one.
