Has anyone tried the Holland adjustable picatinniy base? I haven't yet but it has adjustable windage and elevation and at $150 it's not too far off the price of some of the static bases.

Thats inline with my thinking hence the short and long actions have 20MOA, if anyone needs more then its possible add a set of inclined rings.

<span style="font-style: italic">On a 338LM , I would expect , a 30 or 40 moa mount </span>.

Here again, what customer requests have shown is a desire for 20MOA with the option of adding 20MOA inclined mounts. However i'm still debating to go direct with a 30MOA action, and looking at 15MOA 1 piece bases.
I need to make my mind up by the end of October with the .338 action, for the prototypes it doesnt realy matter but production deadlines are pressing.

The 20MOA inclined integral rail appeals to more folk. 2 piece rings are far more popular that 1 piece. hence cater to the majority.

338 rail.- I´d vote for a 20 MOA rail.

Whoever is planing to use a 338 lapua for real LR will not rely on a scope with little elevation, but will go with a scope that offers at least 15 mil +. That puts your reticle pretty far away and if one plans to shhot very far will go for a double turn scope with more elevation. In my opinion the 20 MOA opens up the doors for more customers.

Oh yeah, will it be able to feed from any other mags than the AI ones? I'm not too knowledgable about that sort of thing but the option of a floorplate mag is always nice

The action is designed as a purely mag fed action.

It will feed from a variety of magazines providing the magazine system sits at the right height.

Any Rem 700 DBM should work flawlessly. so there is plenty of choice.

Well I like that action, I'm even considering getting another scope as swapping has a few downsides I can't really resolve. Btw do the SA and LA Avenger II both use the same thread as AW actions?

Riding Bitter.. English make some damn fine beer..Just got back from the UK, didnt get a chance to sample any beer realy though, exept on the ferry there and back,

The barrel thread is basicaly the same as the Remington for the short and long actions.
I considered using the same thread as the AIAW but figured going with the Remington type ( 1 1/6" x16 TPI) would suit more potential customers, and make it easier for me as the barnard actions for the most part use the same thread.
The advantage of using the AI thread would be possibility of using AI barrels, but we intend to market spare barrels anyhow, so its irrelevant.

for the .338 lap mag actions it will be the same as the AIAW, which is the same as the Avenger I.

We decided to attach the bolt handle in the same way the Barnard bolt handles are attached, it just screws into a dead hole. This makes manufacture of the bolts so much easier faster and cost effective.
Screwing them in has proven to be reliable. We did have issues with the Avenger 1 because the threaded hole for the handle was not a dead hole and if screwed in to far the handle tended to bind with the firing pin assy. But with the Avenger II action there is no such problems. (It leaves the option of also welding them in should this be particularly desired by a customer).
handles attached to the outside of bolts have a habbit of comming adrift, but this way is 100% reliable, as is the Barnard, plus you can swap bolt handles if you so desire.

Please help me understand my ignorance, but from this image, the extractor surface looks like it's not flush and above the bolt head's surface, wouldn't that interfere w/ the barrel breech whenlocking/unlocking of the bolt ?

the extractor sticks out 0.20 mm as it tilts to engage and does not interfere with barrel at all as there is clearance between the rear face of the barrel,(which butts up against the lucking lug collar / breching ring) and the front face of the bolt.

It looks more in the pic, but its an optical illusion,

Hello there,
I just found out about your project and find it very interesting.
I live in France and from here getting an acton from the US is doable but take a lot of paper work.
So I would me more than please if your project could work.

Actually, I am looking for a long action that would fit an AICS stock with CIP Mags.
I have a project in 338LP or Edge depending on the bolt face I can get.Will you also be offering different boltfaces size for 30-06, 300wm, 338?
Regarding the rail, I think a good compromise would be the 30moa if the 0moa is not available.
I like the AI mount or Badger rings.

Do you have a website in germany?

Pete, why do you have a totally new design on your new Avenger II actions?

It looks nice, but I miss some features of the old design (3 lug design with 60° bolt lift, integral 20MOA picatinny rail and recoil lug).
