AX AICS?

Re: AX AICS?

I am getting a AX Chasis used on my custom build.
As far as using a Surgeon Action on one, I see why it couldnt be used. Someone correct me if I am wrong but the 591 is modeled after the Rem 700 action. The only one I am not sure will work is the Surgeon XL Actions.

Re: AX AICS?

I dont think they are in stock yet, but I am eagerly waiting for them. I think the remington actions should just drop right in, as long as the recoil lug fits. Also the cut out for the bolt handle may need to be opened up a little for the handle to close.

Are the AX chasis systems available anywhere?

Re: AX AICS?

no idea of when it'll be released...

I'd wait for this if it was soon, but it could be several months

I hope the price is at least similar to the 2.0's. I am sure there will be the 'latest/greatest' price tag for the first 6 months, or at least until they start to show up on the used market, but the price will be a big make or break for me.

well according to them, it should be out any day. but we would have heard something...

makes me wanna wait on my new stock purchase, that thing might actually be worth waiting for.

Re: AX AICS?

Are you saying that there are actually AX AICS stocks in the hands of consumers (or at least distributors) that are not for demo or display purposes. Is it the light at the end of the tunnel?

If its anything like the XLR chassis than I am sure there will not be any problems and we will be pretty happy.

I'm waiting on one also. Although the 591 action is modeled after the 700, the action uses a straight bolt and has required some modifications to the AICS stock to fit.
