I decided to perform a little test today with my AX.308 to see how the barrels would retain zero at 100 yards after a barrel change. I shot 5 round group, then took the barrel off completely and then put it back on and shot another 5 round string. I made little reference marks on my barrel nut to make sure that I had roughly the same tightness applied after each barrel removal. What I found was the first shot after the barrel removal was about 1/2-1 moa low but windage was perfect ( 0 shift). the 2nd -5th shot were right back into the same initial grouping. I observed this twice. Overall, I was very impressed and have seen worse shift out of my suppressor.
I did take pics, but Ill have to post later.
Just and FYI for those of you wondering.
