Azimuth AZTP-22

What ever happened to the Azimuth 10/22 reciever/barreled actions? I remember some good looking advertising from a while back but that’s about it. Tried finding reviews online, but most of them were more of the “this looks like it will be great when it comes out” type. I found a couple of disappointed reviewers, but couldn’t make out if it was growing pains or real issues with the company/product. With how happy people are to bitch or brag on the Internet, I was expecting more opinions.

I've seen a few discussions at Rimfirecentral of folks who think that that Brownells proprietary 10-22 parts (receiver, bolt, barreled action) are made by Azimuth. I have a Brownells 10-22 TD receiver and bolt, but no way to verify if it was made by Azimuth.

Seemed like nice design and I was interested in a barreled action. No response when emailed and they appear to use a vendor based distribution network. I would like to see if they have worked out their problems. Even better; I would like to see a head to head comparison with some other precision 10/22 options to know if it’s even worth being curious about.
