Badger 2008/2013 AI barrel interchange

Ok looking at trade toward Badger 2008. Guy says he has extra AI barrels he thinks will screw onto the Badger 2008?

That sound right to the smiths or AI guys?

Badger 2008 is as close to AIAW this old retired guy can justify to wife. Lol

Barrels are not interchangeable between the two platforms.

Thank you. Can the AI barrel be rethreaded to fit or is other guy completely wrong?

He's completely wrong. AI is 27mm metric and badger is 1.060. The ai is a pretty coarse deep thread pitch and I think to make it work would require new tenon and chamber. Ive got 2 2013 and a pile of barrels, I also had a 2008 briefly. The under 100 serial number 2008 have a different tenon thread and headspace than 2008 serial #101 all the way to current 2013. Keep this in mind when buying barrels and action. Side note, the 2008 bolt can be modified close to 2013 cocking ramp angles, that's coming from marty@badger. The 2008 I had must have been done, as it wasn't much heavier than my 2013s with any of my bolts(2 sa 308 boltfaces and 1 sa mag bolt).
