Bag options for steel targets

Looking for some recommendations for bags that are strong enough to hold steel targets and carry them around the range. My initial thoughts were some type of reinforced laptop bag, or heavy duty backpack. Load will be about 60 lbs of steel. The bag itself can be pretty simple, one compartment etc..


Any thoughts?

You want to haul 60 lbs of target in a bag by hand? Like a duffle style carry or back pack? We use wood crates or milk crates for our club steel.

I've used a very old pack frame in the past. Generally use my truck now. A pack frame with aluminum tubes or something pike that would be best I think.

So... frame, load shelf, and a few ratchet straps.

Either sling over shoulder or backpack style

Have you ever done that before? It's a son of a bitch. My thoughts are that the pack frame and rachet straps idea is the way to go. This is speaking from experience hauling steel around the hills helping set up for matches

An Alice frame without the pack but with a load shelf may be a good option. Strap them on with some ratchet straps.

You need a Coal Bag like armored car messengers use. I can personally attest to their durability of carrying that weight in coin multiple times.
