Hows come when I put in the 338 Lapua Cor-Bon 300gr SMK Load for the wind column I get INF? There isnt any place to put in wind Velocity on the Trajectory screen (tab at bottom) and I get INF in the HUD too even when I input a wind velocity. The 338 Lapua is the only one I notice that does it (of the rounds that I shoot).

3.7.1 was just released tonight; AE should follow soon. 3.8 is pending approval for iPad; once AE is approved, I'll submit the other two. A rather lengthy change log (on website).

I dont know whats going on. If I go to Trajectory (tab at bottom) then push on the arrow next to Ballistic Coefficient the push loads (tab at top) and go to 338 Lapua and do the Cor-Bon 300gr SMK then look at the Traj chart for the wind (both columns) it say "inf". If I save the load to favorites then go to HUD and put in a Wind Velocity then go to HUD screen the wind says "inf" for both Wind (in) and Wind (MOA) even if I change the Wind Speed slide on the same screen. I noticed if instead of doing the loads tab go to the Litz tab and do the .338>Sierra 300gr HPBT then do the same velocity as the Cor-Bon load everything works OK.

Unless ive missed it, a basic range card. One where i can imput pre-ranged targets with different symbols. clicking on each target on the range card could link to the firing solution for it in the HUD perhaps, or a popup next to it with simple dope. Somthing for really quick reference. Maybe being able to add simple terrain markings, notes, recording data.

I've tried, but just can't reproduce this. You might try resetting defaults, or perhaps even consider deleting the app and reinstalling with a fresh set of preferences.

Can I reinstall it without having to buy it again? I am new to this app stuff, this is actually the first App I have ever bought. I bought a iPod touch just so I can get this app.

You can do something similar (but not exactly) in the range log; if you change the name of the range log title, it will prompt you to copy or move it... if you copy it, you can easily create multiple range log entries per visit... but that doesn't summarize everything per card. The left pane does a decent job of organizing your data though; i'd think that every shoot / ammo in your visit would/should get a separate record.

As long as you download it from the same itunes account, it should let you download it for free.

All versions of 3.7.1 have been approved; 3.8 is now pending approval. It's so much smoother than previous versions due to both memory optimizations and target log improvements. I think you'll like it. Change log on website.

It requires at least iOS 4.3.5, though I recommend iOS 5 or 6. I think that means you'll need at least an iPhone 3G, although a 3GS would probably be much faster.

Been messing around in it a bit more.... Using some of the features for the range/target log and the range finder.....

I couldn't go back to edit a shot in the log..... It asked to delete or toggle..... I wanted to edit score and maybe anything else.... Am I missing something?

Rangefinder- it would be nice to have reticle options- I use USO's PCMOA and MOA Type 1 reticles which are IPHY..... I hate to say it as I know this is a mostly MIL loving audience..... But having the option to change to your specific ret. would be great......

I'd take that a stage further and have a selection of reticles with hold-overs for various distances.

I'm getting the same thing with one of my loads. With the other load it works fine, but with this one taht is very similar it ways wind INF in inches and mrad.

Are you using spin drift? What bullet length is specified for the 300gr?

3.9 adds a standard 60 MOA reticle for the rangefinder. It also has an option to display come-ups instead of +/- in the HUD, and allows you to opt to hide the path in inches in exchange for a much larger elevation / windage display. There are also a lot of bugfixes.

On the HUD i would rather know if my bullet is still ballistic at desired distance than know my zero which doesn't change and adds little value in a HUD view. Just saying.

Yes. I want to know my MV at the range i have selected ie 800 yrds it reads 1400 fps, 1,200 yards it reads 1,050...it would be helpful if when subsonic the colour changed to red from blue or green...it becomes a visual alert/note. I think that is more helpful than knowing where my zero is which for 95% of everyone on this forum is 100-yrds anyway.

I own both ipad and iphone versions. Not only is the response here amazing, but his email responses are as fast as any developer I've ever met.

Great product. Now if you can only make my iphone take pressure, windspeed/direction, rH, and altitude readings without needing to be on the network since my shooting AO has no signal.

Then it would be perfect.

Oh can you make it tell me when to pull the trigger in between heart beats?

I have the app for my IPhone and really like it. One quick question - Is it possible to change the settings on the reticle on the Rangefinder to show MOA instead of Mil. If so, how do I do it?

Do you know what caliber you're shooting? You can multiply the PPI of covering the bullet hole into 1". For example if you're shooting .338, cover the hole then multiply the PPI by 1/.338. I might change the scaling to support that as an alternative as there aren't a lot of metric targets with a standard x ring size

Caliber is in inch. No problem with this as it is 0.224, 0.260 and so on.
But am i not suppose to move the ruler on a specific known portion of the target ?

So 1 / .224 is 4.464 so cover the bullet hole with the ruler. Then take the PPI and multiply it by 4.464 and enter the new PPI by tapping on the field. This SHOULD work.

The closest thing I can do is in app purchases which there are three. Anything more than that and you'd need to buy the AE version. Apple isn't set up to upgrade across two different store items.

The problem with metric is most metric targets don't seem to have a standard size for an X ring, like imperial targets do. Most rings in the US are 1" or 1/2" or 2", or some multiple of an inch, so it can be easily scaled. I don't see anything like that in metric.

I've just updated , all seem to work will except truing keeps crashing, anyone else experiencing this?
