Its banned because coke and pepsi spend millions upon millions on TV advertising, and this product or others it may inspire could massively cut into their profit. Good ol strong-arm style negotiations on the part of big Cola.

There was a different SodaStream commercial that played, it wasn't this one though. I don't recall if it had any specific other brands shown, but I would edge toward the side of "no".
I can see why it was pulled from TV, but the beauty is it runs on the Web FOREVER for FREE.
