The wife and I are on the UP in Michigan hunting some private land for boar and exotics. I took the boar with my M1A, shooting 168 gr TTSX at 2550 fps.
She took the Corsican ram with her 30'06 shooting the same bullet at 2800 fps.
Lot's of fun!

Re: Barnes TTSX Meets Russian Wild Boar

go to love those Barnes bullets. I am trying some Barnes 95 GR TTSX for my 6.8mm this year for hunting. One thing I do know is they are pretty accurate as well as deadly on animals.

Re: Barnes TTSX Meets Russian Wild Boar

I'd say around 275-300lbs if I had to guess. He's standing 4-5 feet behind it in the first pic...old guides photography trick..makes it look a little bigger than it is. Still a good sized pig. God I'm ready to get out and do some cold weather hunting!

Re: Barnes TTSX Meets Russian Wild Boar

The guide guessed 325-350 on the weight. I think it was a little smaller than that. Yes, I was standing a little behind it.
The are pure russian wild boar as far as I know. They supposedly get up to 400-500 lbs. Wish I coulda got a 500 lb 'er.
This week we're in ND shooting pheasants in 75-85 deg weather.
A lot of fun but it's too hot!
