Starting to collect parts for a rim x build. Have a XLR envy pro coming and trying to get a barrel ordered.

I want to go with Manzella precision after talking with him today but need help deciding on a barrel length. He suggested 20-22” with his Ace barrels.

Anyone have suggestions on ideal length that will balance well in the envy pro, ideally without weights.

This is my first dive into rimfire stuff and want it to be right the first time. Will be used for prs type 22 matches.

I’d go with a 22-24” in the M24 to straight 1.2 depending on what you feel like using at a match. Will depend on how much weight you can move with through a stage.

I have a few RimX barrels and 22-24” straight contour (no taper) at 1.20-1.25” balances the best for me. Given his recommendation range go 22”. My personal preference is 24”.

Awesome guys thanks.

I currently run a lone peak, 26” proof comp contour 6dasher in a xlr envy pro with the butt stock weight, and an origin with 26” proof comp in MDT ACC chassis with butt stock weight. These are my 2 current match rifles.

Just wasn’t sure how much of a difference a few inches at the muzzle will make.
