Barrel sources?

There's a lot of great information on barrels in the forum, but I don't see a lot of discussion about where to source barrels. I'm looking for a barrel blank for a RimX (NRL22 build). I'd love to find a Mullerworks or a Shilen, but it seems they're hard to come by. What's the best way to get a quality barrel? Order and wait? What kind of wait times can I expect for the better rimfire barrels?

Order and wait. There are barrels that have a wait of 9-14 months. Call around and see what you can find. You may get lucky

No idea on wait times, etc. I know wait times were extended back during the covid time frame as that affected a BR build I had in process, first the trigger I wanted was unavailable, then the Shilen barrels were difficult to get.

I seem to always be in that situation. When you call around or email your specs they will try and convince you to buy what they have on the shelf. Becomes a waste of time.
Firm up exactly what you want and what brand and just put in the order.... and wait.

I have both a Shilen 4gr ratchet and a Mullerworks 8 gr MI here about to test on my RimX...

Honestly, don't count out a Green Mountain either. Mine was shooting 2" 10 shot groups and 1"-1.75" 5 shot groups at 200yd yesterday. .3's @ 100yd, .1's @ 50yd.. I've tested a lot of GM and at least 6 on my RimX alone. They hammer and are in stock...
