Hello all,
I know this has been asked a thousand times, and I have been researching but want a solid answer from a reliable source.
I want to get the most out of my rig I am having a gunsmith replace the barrel, recoil Lug and the action true. Wanted to bed the v block once I get my rifle back.
Now my ? Is should I just bed the lug or skim coat the entire action I keep reading mixed views stating it is extremely hard to bed a v block and it shouldn't be done.
I have 2oz devcon , and material needed to do the job. I was hoping someone can put me on the right track I don't want to cause more harm then good. The stock is Choate tactical the action is a savage SA the rifle is chamber in 308.
Barrel going on is a 25" bull contour mcgowen oh and heads up I received the barrel with the finish ruined do to who ever packaged it had oil on there fingers and stained it hopefully its a good tube.
Recoil lug from sharp shooters. Any help would be appreciated hope I provided enough info.
Thanks
Mike
