I've heard a lot of nice things about the Bergara rifles and as such I reviewed their catalog.

It seems that they offer 2 different chassis type rifles.

I was wondering what people thought of them. Are they competitive and considered good values? Accurate?

If you own one, do you have any regrets regarding the purchase?

Appreciate any insight. thank you

I have a Premier LRP Elite. It is a model that was discontinued this year. It is in a ORIAS chassis. I absolutely love it. Action feels great, chassis is very nice. Magpul PRS stock is great. Easy 1/2 MOA rifle as long as I do my part. For less that $2k I think it’s a steal.

I’ve got an LRP Elite. Absolutely love it. It’s my favorite rifle and the only one I bought prebuilt and didn’t want to modify right away. Too bad they discontinued it. It’s a really nice chassis.

Wow, great reviews...wonder why they discontinued the LRP Elite.....hope they replace it with something of the same type
I called Bergara and asked them before I purchased mine. According to the gentleman I spoke to the $800 price difference between the LRP and the LRP Elite caused a dramatic sales difference. He said the previous year the had sold several hundred LRPs but only a handful of LRP Elites. They also discontinued the Stalker but kept the Mountain for the similar sales reasons presumably.

I've owned my 6mm LRP Elite for several years, it's a laser. I burned out the factory barrel in few months when I started shooting comps. Can't go wrong with these rifles. If anyone is looking for the orais chassis I have one that I'm willing to part with.

I have the Bergara B14 HMR 6.5 CM and absolutely love it. (P.S. My sign in name has no connection with Bergara Manufacturing.)

I love mine. HMR PRO 308. Yes I would buy another one.

Sure hope they don't dump the Approach. There's one of those in my future, hopefully sooner than later.

I have a BMP 6.5 I started out with for PRS competitions. Shoots great and a solid rifle. I have since replaced it with a custom Big Horn Origin in an MPA comp chassis. Reason was I wanted to be able to switch barrels in the future and Bergara makes it harder to do that with their coned bolt face.

I have a standard HMR that has been churched up a little with the premier bolt (pro wasn’t available when I bought mine) and an the XLR element similar to the LRP. It has been a good rifle. Shoots about 0.6 with factory 140 ELD-M. Action is really smooth. The only thing is mine deposits a good bit of copper still even after several hundred rounds.
