Just got my order of Berger 155 gr hybrid target for my Savage bolt .308. I've been told that 8208 XBR would be a great powder for this bullet. Right now I'm using 44.2 of Varget to push 168 SMK's. I wanna try the 155's and see how this works.
Berger 175 OTM's are da BOMB! bit pricey but they are *perfect* for the 308. I have not tried the 155's but if they shoot as well as the 175's you will be very very happy
IMR 4064 is a great powder, worth a try. I have been using a lot of 2000MR lately because I have not found anything that can push a 175 faster and the accuracy has been very impressive.

47.5 in 2000MR or 41.7 in IMR 4064 are my two pet loads. The 4064 loads are about 150 FPS slower but just as accurate. This is also the load the military uses for the M118LR. The loads with 2000MR reach a bit better since they stay supersonic a bit further out than the 4064 loads. I can hit the gong at 1000 yards 50% of the time on a calm day with the 2000MR, have not been able to hit it with the 4064. I think they are going subsonic before they hit the 1000 yard mark- that extra 150 fps from the 2000MR just gets me over the line.
I am also at sea level and it is humid as hell here so guys in high altitude with dry air are likely to do better. Maybe the 4064 would cross the line in those conditions but I can not say for certain.
No experience with 155 Bergers, but am using 44.9 8208 with both 2155 and 2156c Sierras with excellent accuracy in 21" Schneider barrel older GAP 10. 2775 at 95d/1200 ft elev.
