Best 3-18x

I've had the ATACR 4-16x T3 and still have the Leupold mk6 3-18x T3 and the NX8 2.5-20x T3.

I sold the ATACR when I sold all scopes I owned with low power > 3x. Decided I didn't want to give up much FOV when using clipons.
The L&S Mk6 3-18x is the oldest scope I own, I got it in April 2014 from a Hide vendor for $1700. Originally it had an h58, no illum and the m5B turrets (those turrets sucked). But L&S upgraded it for me to T3, with illum and to the M5C turrets (which do not suck). And it does everything the NX8 2.5-20x does and maybe I trust it more :)
The mk6 is 23.6 oz and 11.9 inches, and still a leader in its class on size and weight.
But the mk6 is only available now on used market, so if I was buying today, I'd get another NX8 2.5-20x. Its the perfect mag range for my bolt gun use cases and gives up no FOV with longer distance thermal clipons like UTC/x/xii or Theon ELR.

I bought a U.S. Optics Foundation 3.2-17x50mm with MPR reticle recently.

It was a great deal at EuroOptics.

I like it a lot so far and @koshkin gave it good marks.

USO also makes their Foundation line in a 5-25x52mm so in theory you could have two rifles, two scopes, same reticle.
