Rifle Scopes Best 34mm scope rings

That's about all you can do. I have used a lot of rings from Spuhr on down and being a self proclaimed cheap bastard but also wanting a ring that will do its intended job I found the Seekins did just that. Been using them since around late 2004 and having used some of the first sets made by Glen. They are a good value for the money and very well made and do their intended job very well. Can't ask for much more.

Agree

I use Badger. No frills, just solid as hell. Their .50 SASR steel rings are SOLID on a DTA HTI, and if there's a rifle whose recoil can shake a ring loose it'll be that one. They also make once piece bases that both accommodate both USO optics with the TPAL/EREK erector as well as night vision such as PVS30.

They clamp down solid but are machined precise enough to not leave much of a mark when torqued down properly.

The USO rings are very solid and well made AND adjust left to right (a bit of a pain in the ass but useful if you're OCD about windage adj. or simply need it).

Era Tac look to be damn nice and I really like the adj. MOA (which would be the titties for the BMG) but I never ended up with a set.

This

99% of threads that ask what is the "best" X are stupid. One exception: muzzle brakes. 100% of the threads asking which one is the best are stupid because there is zero objective evidence one is better than any others.

Usually "best" around here means "what is everyone else using". It's assumed most of us here do go for the best and have had some experience otherwise.

What I don't understand is why scope mfg.'s don't machine a lug under the scope body so that a modular rail grabber of y height and x horiz. adj. can be bolted to the bottom. Hell, you could one piece it like an ACOG, even better, if it weren't for all the different setups. But maybe it's cost prohibitive, I don't know. Just seems like rings are only a solution to a tubular optic and not a very good one at that.

Well, the 225 or maybe the 230 gr Atips. Unless I turn it into a hunting rifle, then it maybe 212 or 220 eld-x.

I also have a M700 in 300 win mag right now that I’m about half way thru the factory barrel. I have a 31” bartlein 9 twist ready for Dave Tooley to spin up. I may turn this into my hunting 300 PRC and the my Tooley Custom into a match target rifle.
I'm gonna start using 225 eld in a 300 win mag 28 bartlein 1-8 twist. I've thought about atip

I run a 20 moa base on my long range rifles. I haven’t run any moa in my rings yeat. Badger rings have been solid performers for me.

I am considering a 20 moa base and a 20 moa spur mount for my 300 PRC. I’ll have to look at the optic I’m going with to make sure I have enough adjustment to still zero at 100 yards.
Im in same boat I have 20 moa rail and been debating on a 30 or 40 moa rail for my target 300 win mag. Its maily will be a mile rifle

Skimping and using a quality less expensive product are two different things. Don't get that confused.

You can use a 30 or 40 moa base if you will be using an optic with enough internal elevation to work with them. 20 is the basic go to most use.

Steiner m5xi 3 15 50 26 mills. I have seekin .92 rings so not sure a 40 would work

With 26 mils you should be able to use a 40 moa. 40 moa is about 11.6 mils so 13 mils is your halfway and with a 40 moa you would have about 1.2 mils down when mounted and zeroed. For the safe side a 30 moa would work.

Yeah just worried on clearance with 40 so I didnt have to buy new rings lol

I'll try Spuhr when I have the budget but the ARC M10 QD-L mount is (by far) the best, with my criteria based on number of curse words when mounting. ARC = 1. As in, "Holy Shit that was easy!" I recently helped a buddy mount his new scope with Burris Signature Rings with those stupid inserts to adjust angle of cant. These filled two swear jars at my house and I'm still dropping four-letter words just thinking about how much they pissed me off. ARC is where it's at.

I have a set and yes they do get annoying but they are a blessing too easy for added moa just a pain to grt there lol

I’m also shopping for 34mm rings. My previous 700 rifle had Badger, for the new Bergara B14 HMR rifle I was looking at more Badger or the Steiner T series (because of the level and there’s a set in the PX). Being left handed I’m using a Badger 20 MOA base. My Badger 30mm rings left some very light ring marks on my PST. The new scope is a Razor Gen 2.
