Best AK-47 under folder?

Any opinions? Side folder vs. under folder?

From what I can see the Yugo M70's seem to be pretty good. Just trying to see what other people's experiences have been.

I have a CZ VZ58 right now but want to sell it and get an AK so I have cheaper magazine options.

Underfolders suck for actual shooting. Side folders are a bit better, but fixed wood stock is hard to beat. The Yugos are good , but be sure to inspect the throat as Yugos are amongst the most corroded.

If you ever consider using a side rail or mounting optics or a red dot sight the under folder stock will not clear it. A side folder does and the stock lock up is better (IMHO) with the side folders.

Also the Polish under folders lock up with the stock at a slight angle where as the Yugo's lock up is a straight direction. Some feel better or worse depending on your personal preference.

I have an arsenal side folder and it's the best of both worlds. Folds but none of the cheek weld and loosening issues.

If your going with a folding stock I would recommend a side folder. I shoot Galils and I like the FN style folders on them. The newer style polymer AKM folders found on Arsenal AKs are really nice. Probably the best side folder out there, the old style folders aren't too bad either. The wire folders are pretty uncomfortable and are really just the bare minimum for a stock.
Or fixed wood or polymer stocks are always nice as mentioned. The under folders are good for compactness but I would take a side folder any day over the under folder.

I think most who say underfolder suck have probably never shot one. I own a Yugo M70AB2 and I love it, and have zero issues with my cheek weld, or the feeling of it agianst my cheek when shooting. I guess some guys and just Nancy's.
