I have a Rem 700 in .30-06.

Who makes a detachable box magazine system for this like the Badger one for short actions? What mags does it use? Is it possible to use the same system if I rebarrel into .300 win mag in the future?

Yep, Badger M5 with a 300WM AI mag will fit the bill perfectly.

We have them in stock too.

Vbull! Same mag (AI) yes it will feed 06 fine. Vbull has mag release inside the trigger gaurd. Can drop a mag with the trigger finger while grabbing another. About the same cost as the badger. Made in Canada

Same here, wish they made a 700 rem SA as well, damn HS/P is pricey an works no better.

I can send you pics of mine when I get home. Ill see if I can find his phone number too. You have to buy direct from him in canada. JW precision used to carry them but don't anymore. I got the phone number from george at JW.

I'm running 3 of them right now. 2 on 6.5-284's and one on a 7wsm. They are perfect for short action cartridges that you want run in long action receivers with really long bullets. The mag length can be a little short if you are loading VLD bullets in a true long action cartridge.

Like gunfighter said about the HS precision, I have compared the 2 and their ain't no way I would pay over 3 times the price for the HS over the Kwik Klip. A friend of mine almost had a stroke when he found out he could have saved a couple of hundred dollars. He actually liked the K K as well as the HS.

The AI type .300win mag magazines will not run 30-06 without a little bending of the lips. It works then but its not absolutely ideal.

There is a definate need on the market for an AI type mag ( or something similar) dedicated to 30-06 /9.3x62 / 6.5x55 / 6.5x284 etc.
Also a cut off shortened version that sits flush with the stock would be nice for hunting rifles,

Ive been looking at the Verney Caron / Voere / Sauer / Rossler magazines, and thier compatability to a Badger LA mag system. a couple of them work if you alter the mag latch.

Cant say ive had a look at the kwick klip, probably a pain in the arse to get out of the US anyhow, as is almost anything gun related these days,

The way to go, certainly for us EU based folk is make it ourselves. And we are on with the job.
