Hi guys I bought some butler creek scope caps for my SWFA 10x42 scope, however, the hinges on them broke because the covers use some cheap flimsy plastic. Apparently Butler Creek sold their company or their scope covers to another company and quality went way down hill. When you flip the scope cover back too far it snaps the hinge right off with hardly any pressure!
Anyways I have a smaller Leupold 3x9 scope that has the fancy Alumina magnetic screw-on covers that I absolutely love. The covers seal tightly shut and fold completely down onto the body of the scope when in use to avoid blocking your sight when you're behind the rifle but looking past the scope. I'd like to get some Leupold or Leupold-like scope covers for my SWFA scope, however, I'm unsure what will fit the front bell threads on the SWFA (there are no threads on the eyepiece).
My trusty calipers show the outer objective bell to be 49.5mm and the eyepiece to be 44.6mm in diameter.
