Best precision rifle available on a budget

@Jofootballo - wow, this is still going. What did you get?

I was a poor college student once...and frugal for a long while there after. I bought rifles with iron sights because they work and I didn’t have (or wasn’t willing to spend) the scratch for good glass. Out to “normal” hunting distances of 300 yds or so, if you’re not getting it done with irons it isn’t the sights that are to blame.

What to do then, on your budget? Go to the CMP website, download the forms, fill them out, and let the CMP mail you an M1 Garand. It’ll never be a precision bolt gun, but it will be a fun target gun and more than capable of critter slaying (two legs or four).

Must be a savage Man!! I quote “Cuz u can buy pull-off barrels on forums everywhere”
Only barrels though bro!! Cuz they Tossed the action
The actions aren't bad for an economy design. Same for the barrels.

If you know where to fish barrels are even better. Both oem and secondary.

Also user serviceable if you can handle an ar upper. For many years.

Plus multi caliber capability.

I like all kinds of finland. The girls are tall, pretty, and intense.

Only the single mothers there buy Tikka.
