    this big boy is hitting the bait only at night.

    Gonna change up tactics and try calling him in during the day. I know he is staying close, as we have other pics of him on waterhole cam approx. 500 yards from bait site.

    that is a 55 gal drum about five feet from him

    There you go Scott, now all you have to do is talk the wife into a full size mount. Sure is a nice looking bear.

    Is he in the same country where we were riding 4 wheelers this past summer?

    Nice bear! We had some pulling that stunt last year. This spring we made lids for the bait barrels with plenty of two inch holes in them to let the smell out but screw the bear in his attempts to get in.

    Once we had one hitting at night, we started to lock the barrels at dark and banging on the barrels with a stick whenever we filled them.

    Took about two days to re-educate the bear on when he could get some food.

    Wound up getting snowed out last fall.

    The rancher called and he is killing sheep again right now. Got the bait up and the camera going. Heading up early A.M. to check and fill up the stink bait again !!
