The smile on her face says everyting. I would like to thank you for the support and help you have given my daughter and myself. The rifle looks very nice and I bet it shoots great also. She is very focused on living up to the expectations your equipment brings. She will be shooting at Grayling next week if the front sight comes in time. if not she will be shooting the F class rifle i screwed together this winter(7mm SAUM Savage). I have been averaging .4 to .5 five shot groups with it, she shoots three groups the other day the biggest was .236 guess I need more practioe. We will keep you posted with updates throughout the summer, once again a big thanks from our family.

PS how come you didnt put your logo on rifle.

I hear Sam is quite the shooter. Just keep her in ammo and it will all come together. Hopeing to get to some LR matches this summer and maybe get to see first hand if the rumors about her shooting are as good as I hear. Good luck to Sam this summer, tear them old guys up.

Chad builds a heck of a rifle. Just dropped a box of parts at FedEx with his name on it that will be a MK 13 one of these days.

That rifle is beautiful, and I'm sure it shoots as good as it looks!

Samantha is now part of our small, but growing herd of little savages.

Neal Johnson, Glen Harris, and Mike Allen all believe(d) that the key to ensuring competitive shooting survives, is to pass it onto kids as soon as they are old enough to get behind a trigger.

By some sort of osmosis it rubbed off on me as well.

Once a year I try like hell to locate a hard charging bratty kid that is determined to make shooting their passion. I build them either a Palma or Highpower ATC rifle on the house. We will continue to support them until their 25th birthday. Then they get kicked out of the nest and told to fend for themselves.

Thus far we have two:

Kyle L.
Samantha H.

Samantha is a very well mannered, respectful and intelligent little girl. Kyle is more like the guy you hope never finds your daughter. (HA!)

You hamburgers up in Michigan better watch out this summer. I think she's going to give you all a run for your money.


Congrats to her and her family for supporting the competitive shooting disciplines.

PS:

The stock was my personal Palma stock built about 8 years ago. Due to the move/setup/etc with the new shop it wasn't realistic for me to start with a stock from scratch. Our paint facility is just now coming online for the automotive type finishes. The last Palma gun I painted took me 5x to get right due to contamination from shooting it in an open shop. To ensure she would be able to compete this summer I decided to give her my stock instead. It's a piece of special select English Walnut "rail road tie" that I carved by hand. We didn't have a blank to use for duplicating when I built this. The Nesika inlay is done in pewter. It was my attempt to blend old school gunmaking practices with modern sizzle.

My rear sight mount (stainless)

Good to see! I will be looking for you at the Michigan F-Class matches. I too started pretty young, now 25, I have been attempting to hone my skill while being a lifer of the collegiate system.
