With all things being equal with a Remington 5R should it be more accurate off a Harris bipod or a front rest?

I say bipod, unless your rest is solid. The bean bag ones work wonders, but there's too much play for me to use them. I'd rather run a rock solid bipod with a QD mount.MO

As long as the bag on the rest fits the rifle, a high quality rest will be more accurate every time compared to a high quality bipod.
But what good is a rest other than at the range? A paper weight, thats what.
And they are a headache to haul around.

I was wanting to use the rest to work my load and the bipod for actual use. I was just wondering since you see bipod on the military rifles.

I am a fan of working up the load as the rifle will be used.
As far as what is more accurate, there is a reason that benchresters use machine rests.

I switched to using a bi-pod and shooting prone, couldn't be happier. No more lugging around the heavy front bag or rest. I shoot just as accurate too. It did take a few range sessions to learn how to load up the bi-pod and get a good body position. I would advise getting a swivel bi-pod though.
