Bittersweet cause it's the last time I'll be using this range...their prices are going up soon and since they only do a daily fee, and three days' fees will cover an annual membership at another range that has 600 and 1000 yard berms, instead of just 300....well, no-brainer. Great facility, just getting too expensive now, assuming they're the only game in town or something.

Oh well.

This woulda been absolutely stellar if the dude with the braked .300 roy hadn't lit off just as i was squeezing off round #2. Oh well...racing driver excuses, right? ;) As it stands, the four are just a CH under .75", with the flyer doubling it. This was all load development, so I only had five of each load, and none of my other 178 loads were anywhere close to this settled. Most were sub-moa, but this one obviously shows the most potential. 44 RL15, 178 AMAX, 2.195" (obviously ogive, but for those who would undoubtedly cry foul because "you shouldn't load .308 that short omg!!" I'm putting that out there).

Also had some 155 AMAX loads done up, shot most of my stuff at 100 as I was getting velocities, but these were some of my last ones to shoot and I had a good idea of where they'd be velocity-wise, so I just put up a couple targets at 200 and didn't worry about chrono.

Gonna play with seating depth on that one a little bit. AMAX tend to like more or less of a jump? These guys were .020 off the lands....

For those unfamiliar, it's a 700 made all pretty for the prom by Controlled Chaos Arms.

And no, I'm not using that case anymore...bought it for one airplane trip and then sold it off. That's just the most-revealing photo I have of the rifle in current dress is all. It has a Storm 3300 that it lives in when I go to the range.

And before anyone pipes up with "OMG ONLY FIVE ROUNDS?!?!? DOESN'T COUNT DOESN'T COUNT!!!" it was load development--only loaded up five of each recipe, and wasn't planning on anything further than 100, but tossed a couple at 200 anyway. So feel free to STFU and move on. Really not interested in your e-cock competition. Kthx.

First off, I hear you about range fees. My local long range that we members helped move from 600 - 850 was rewarded by increased range fees from $20.00 aday to $10.00 per hour for non-members. I'm no longer a member because it increased from nothing for an annual member to a annual paid membership + $5.00 and hour. Second 5 shots in my book is a group, and you have nice ones. I don't sweet the small stuff, meaning what others think or say, seems like you don't either. Good shooting
