Bix’n Andy’s Trigger

I have been hearing a lot about these triggers lately. I have heard they are potentially the most reliable/durable trigger out there. I am looking at the “tax” model.

Does anyone have input on this? I am specing out a new rifle and would consider going with something different.

I haven't used that many different triggers but out of the ones I've used, Timney 510, Jewel and BnA TacSport. IMO the BnA feels very much like a Jewel single stage but the BnA is a two stage. It's crisp with no creep at all. Also, you can change the length of pull, the weight of pull on the first stage and the weight on the second stage. You can vary the sear engagement as well. The trigger shoe can be swapped out. They said they will have a bunch of different shoes available to swap in the near future. Not only is the feel of the BnA great, there are so many variables you can change to fit your shooting preference.

NO issues with any of mine and I think I have about 8 so far. Only go with them and Huber now!

Benchrest triggers, yes... Tac-sport, which was designed for this sort of thing.. not so much.

I can't speak to reliability, but as someone who has had both triggers, the Bix was much more adjustable and had zero creep. Never could get the creep out of my CE, even after talking through it with a Timney tech.

I personally love the narrow shoe.

No issues yet with my Tacsport, and I've shot it in conditions where my Defiance action really struggled. Still haven't shot it enough in super dusty conditions to fully endorse it from a reliability standpoint, but I love my Tacsport's so far.

Andy Atzl, he's a master gunsmith based in Austria. He's been making top triggers for a few years now and is slowly gaining more market share as he develops new models. I've used Timney, both regular and CE and I've tried other rifles sporting Jewel triggers. I've owned a Bix'N'Andy trigger for a Tikka T3 and it was hands down the best trigger I've used. The crispness and reliability were top notch. I'll be replacing both my Barnard triggers when the new B'n'A Barnard trigger is released this year.

Love my BnA TacSport single stage!
I have only used tuned factory Remington triggers until I got this last fall, FWIW.
Will be buying more as money allows.

Yeah, answer this.
Im getting my trigger tech with the carbide rollers recalled but I didnt like that if I slammed it home the pin wouldnt catch. Id like to avoid that if possible.

Well, a bit late, but I just bought one and found this thread, so ...

I come from South Germany and in this area (also Austria and Swiss) there is a lot of dialect going on, which you all understand when you come from here, but all are a bit different.

So, Andy is a shortage of Andreas of course, the owner and gunsmith (Büchsenmacher) is named Andreas Atzl.

A Bixn is the dialect form for Büchse.
A Büchse is the German name for a rifle with a drawn barrel.

So "Bixn Andy" means more or less "Rifle Andy", that´s the name of his company.

There is no "and" in this name, what some seem to believe.

I have been using 2 stage tac sports and tac sport pros for a year now. Love the adjustability of them. Zero failures so far in them. Adjusted them to my rifles and me and haven’t touched them since. The options of different sear heights to better match an action is nice to.

I've been using a 2 stage tac sport for several months and really liking it. Everything is adjustable and very crisp 2nd stage with zero creep.
