I would disagree about the Waterborne not as strong as the Zulu. It is possible you may have got one of the Waterbornes made in Taiwan as the Waterborne I have here, when compared to the Zulu I have here, is a much sturdier and stronger band. Not to take away from the Zulu's, but the Waterborne is beefier. </div></div>
Nope, made in Australia. I have several Maratac ZULU's and all are a stiffer and a heavier gauge material than my Waterborne's. The Waterborne is more similar to the NATO straps. As Waterborne goes, they are being inported these days by Innovative SCUBA Concepts, don't know where they are made, but Maratac makes everything in the US at their facility in California.
