Bore-tech Eliminator

I am out of bore cleaner and needing a new bottle. Is anyone using this Bore-Tech Eliminator. It appears to be a one shot product that takes care of carbon, copper, and lead and leaves a protective coat inthe bore.

I have been through literally thousands of dollars worth of cleaning crap and I have pretty much converted over to all Boretech products. There are definitely some more aggressive copper cleaners out there but the Eliminator does a great job on both the carbon and copper fouling all in one shot.

Oh and their rods are some of the best, better than the Dewey's in my opinion.

I use boretech eliminator and can never go back to another cleaner. It will remove your carbon and copper fouling without a problem (even removing copper from a .50, which copper foul heavily has never been an issue for me).

Huge bonus: no smell at all!

The wife is a big fan of it because it doesn't smell up the house.

I works very well but there are a few downsides:
- It aggressivly attacks copper not just in your bore but also on any brass that it may come in contact with.
(Jags, Brushes, Cases on your bench, etc.)
- I would recomend using gloves when using it.
(Contact with bare skin makes it slick. Just like acid does as it disolves the outer layers of the epidermis.)
They say it is 100% non hazardous, but my skin feels pretty funky after coming contact with it.
- Pretty much degreases everything as well, so be prepared to relube.

GA Precision specifies in their instructions to use it.
I like the results that I get with it, but I miss the smell of Hoppe's.

I was surprised by those tests when they were first posted. I still stand by Boretech products. They've worked well for me and without the noxious ammonia/chemical stink.

I'll vote Boretech: no ammonia to attack the bore and grooves; no smell; works exceedingly well.

I totally gave up on cleaning all the copper fouling out anymore.Why? because the copper is back in there anyways the next few shots you take.

That's why I stuck with Boretech over KG.If you use a nickel coated jag you can monitor how much copper has been removed from the barrel by the amount of blue color left on the patch.
