Boulder, CO. Dont forget to get your guns certified.

Labor is a real problem out here, that and welfare fraud. Why work if you can sit on your nuts and Welfare pays you? The system is really broke.
Many that apply for jobs that require a piss test will rust the bottom out of the collection bottle.
Colo. Dept. of Trans., CDOT, Highway Department, runs ads on TV to get snowplow drivers up in the mountains and are always short.
They beg retirees to come back and drive for a while at a higher rate that is still too low.
The Front Range and Mountain Ski areas are a Democrap mess. FUKM all, and I wish they would quit calling me to go back to work.
They shit that nest so they can roost in it.
The average CDL driver with no experience in a plow will be in the ditch or over the side when in a snowplowing situation. It takes a touch most don't have.

That seems to be the case here too Foul Mike. It's gotten to the point that people that do work hard, can pass a piss test and just do their job could have enough to work to last til the end of time.

I am working 60hrs/week right now at my job. My phone never stops ringing with side jobs. No one around here goes into any kind of skilled trades anymore, especially service work. The residential need for repair people, whether it be electrical, plumbing, hvac, appliance repair, remodeling, etc. is so desperate that anyone who is decent can basically name their price.

Regarding driving, I have no idea how most of these people have made it. They are so stupid I'm surprised they still have enough brain power to remember to breathe. On average my daily route is between 150-200miles. I see people do things in a car that is beyond my comprehension. There are many more people that cant drive than there are people who can. To the point that if I see someone actually driving like they have some sense, its shocking.

Denver County is next. The rest of the state will tell them to pound sand.
I moved from Golden to Fremont County and have loved it. However, this summer I noticed several vagrants carrying anti Trump signs. I later observed them getting into a van with California plates. I stoped and gave them a friendly reminder that they were in a majority federal law enforcement community and that if they knew how to distinguish between off duty HSI, CBP, FBI USMS, DOJ and USFS? He said no. I then replied “then how the hell are you going to know what agency to send the dental bill to?”

It’s not that way up here right now.. I got laid off right before thanksgiving. I am ase certified diesel mechanic, structural steel & aluminum welder and my last job was as a roustabout. And yes I can pass a piss test. We do have the Walmart/fast food jobs starting 10-12 hr though.

This stuff is where the 2nd amendment dies. Just like free speech, if you’re unwilling to physically invoke it, by fear or whatever, it’s dead. Canadians will tell you that they have guns. They’re told what route to drive to get to the controlled range that they’re told to pay to join, so they can play with their useless toys. A nation of paper men with rights on a piece of paper, in the event they must defend their liberty. If they had the guts of the people their grandfathers defeated, they’d remove them in ritual suicide.

I couldn't care less about whether or not MJ is legal or not, the war on drugs is a huge waste of time and money. Let those who want to use live with the consequences of being a user. Piss test for welfare benefits and let em learn the hard way.

The problem comes from the mentality of those who want to have the freedom to use drugs but don't want to extend the same Libertarian mindset to others. The hypocrisy is mind blowing when you consider that their argument for drugs is not protected under the constitution but the 2A is.

My firm belief is that the people pushing and financing gun control see the 2A as the last obstacle to taking away the 1A.

You are correct in that.
You'll notice that the ones which are the most active in trying to destroy the second amendment are also the ones who are most forceful in demanding that only "correct speech" as in ideas and statements they agree with are allowed to be said and everything else is "wrong speech" or "hate speech" and must be punished & destroyed.

Take a look at all the Technocrats that run the big Technology, Social and Entertainment companies.... They hate the second amendment with a passion (except for their own guns and their own body guards). They also hate the idea of any speech or ideas that they don't agree with being said & go to great lengths to destroy anyone who says anything they don't approve of.

Last I heard cartels had to switch to pushing heroin to housewife’s because all they lost in weed revenue

If you think the Cartels all threw up their hands and got out of the marijuana business you're kidding yourself.

They're probably more involved than ever. Why pay to grow it, harvest it, package it, and then try to sneak it into the US? Now you can buy the property and set up a grow site legally. Or be the "silent investor" behind the stoners setting up a shop.

Why try to get it past CBP at the border? Grow it in CA or CO and drive it to other states. Follow the speed limit and your odds of being pulled over are near zero.

The moon is probably still made of cheese.....

Does anyone pushing this theory have anything more than speculation, innuendo and hyperbole?

Bear in mind that I don’t use marijuana, though I would have valid reasons to do so medically. If marijuana is still tainted by cartels, it because:

  • It suffered an unreasonble & long prohibition. It still suffers this fate in most of the country. The criminal infrastructure is still in place. I doubt bootleggers went out of business over night.
  • To get it legalised it was sold as a tax windfall thereby giving legislators virtual carte blanch to target marijuana (particularly recreational) with “special” taxes unlike other goods.
  • The Feds still count it as a prohibited drug and still subject to the war on drugs
  • Most states have yet to leaglise marijuana so it is a niche supply in certain area that folks, growers, sellers etc flock to.
I know places like Colorado are going to great lengths to weed out criminal involvement throught BG checks, limiting partnerships and other means to make it difficult for someone to be a front person for a criminal enterprise.

The big problem is not Boulder’s likely to be overturned ban. It’s that, just like when we fought the last round of gun laws Colorado has turn solid blue. A Statewide ban is likely on the agenda next year and the State’s preemption of Boulder could be the spark.....

You guys (CO.) wanted to be the first state to make marajuana legal, all the fucking retards flocked to your state. That's been my take on it. Could be wrong.

I base my opinion on this fact:
There is still large sums of money to made.
Only difference is now Uncle Sugar is getting a better cut, at least on part of the crop.

What have you got but the same proving it's not going on? What's more likely, that the most brutal, determined, and sophisticated criminal enterprises in modern history threw up their hands and gave up because a state legalized the sale of Marijuana?

Or that they adapted and are every bit as involved as before? I'm so tired of the cute little marijuana solves all problems stoner argument. It's not the solution to anything but getting high.

So nothing. You know this is exactly what we accuse Marxist sand the media of doing. “I can’t make my case so prove its not happening”..... Please that is an utterly lidicrous aurgument. If you make the claim, its incumbent on YOU to support it.

As civil libertarians we should not be making up stories to justify the government imprisoning folks becuase of “prohabition”. I never agreed with our history of doing it to achohol and I dont agree with doing it over marijuana. I think the disastrous results speak for themselves. Meanwhile Docs could not prescribe marijuana derivative’s but we are prescribing opiates an alarming rate to the point where we now have a national crisis with opiates not marijuana .

You want to talk about “gangs” benifiting from this, lets look at the Alphabets soup Federal agencies that have grown under the war on drugs, focusing on pot while letting other more serious drug problems go unchecked. When I was young pot was easy to get and harder drugs much more elusive. After the start of the war on drugs this changed. Suddenly harder drugs were easy to get and marijuana harder.

Listen if you think marijuana is a problem, that’s fine. I just think the stories about what’s going on here without any substantiated information to back them up, is not helping. Right now we have states that are in experimental stage. We will see how the experiment plays out but as we look at these experiments we have to bear in mind what is happened here. This plant has been illegal for many years and is only legal in a few states. This prohibition has been a policy fiasco....

I have an interest in this. For 30 years I have been treated for glaucoma. In that time I’ve lost one of my eyes. Right now I am fighting to save the other.I have resisted the urge to use marijuana to aid in this battle while pharmaceuticals have charged me obscene amounts of money, only to fail. The reason I have resisted the urge to use this treatment is because of the law and my gun rights. I think this may be one of the most disastrous decisions of my life.....

So its a tax. The truth comes out eventually. Im stationed here in CO at Fort Carson, i feel bad for these people.

However seeing the 15rd mag limit isnt enforced(people openly shooting at public ranges with 30rd mags) i think a lot of people, except those 85, will tell them to FO.

There are only 5 local agencies that promised to enforce it. However, there is no plan on how it would be enforced. Hell, in the heart of Denver gun stores are selling disassembled 30rd Pmags as “rebuild kits” and law enforcement can’t do anything about it except remind you that putting more than 15 rounds in it would be a misdemeanor. It’s laughable.

All prior mags were grandfathered in. Magpul did a huge sale for Colorado residents prior to the ban and delayed shipments to vendors to fulfill those orders before the deadline. I bought a metric shit ton and gifted a bunch to my wife and kids.

The rebuild kits are for repairing your legal grandfathered mags. But since there's no way for anyone to determine when the magazine was actually purchased, it's impossible to enforce. Magpul flat-out refused to include date stampings on their plastid injection molds. And I believe that while Magpul moved it's corporate offices to Texas, manufacturing is still in Colorado.

My company can't find enough guys like you in the western US and are constantly hiring at close to $40/hr with union CBA benefits. I'd imagine in AK the winter layoff for your type of labor is a normal thing, but I've never lived there myself.

On topic, fuck Boulder and their entire populace. It's another example of them getting exactly what they voted for. Colorado is going to end up being one of the flashpoint states in the near future as it doesn't get much more polarized than there.

This is in the FAQ further down the page

If I live in the City of Boulder and owned an assault weapon prior to June 15, 2018 can I keep it?

Any person who, prior to June 15, 2018, was legally in possession of an assault weapon shall have until December 31, 2018 to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution:
  • Remove the assault weapon from the City of Boulder;
  • Render the assault weapon permanently inoperable;
  • Surrender the assault weapon or large capacity magazine to the Boulder Police Department for destruction; or
  • If eligible, obtain a certificate for the assault weapon

Fuck that bullshit. That is some Nazism is what the fuck that is.
