I hope others will join in and post their kids' targets.

So, my 15 year old girl first shot a gun at age 10. But, trips to the range were sporadic over the next five years. Started her on .22LR rifles, of course. Then more recently, I let her shoot my precision AR-15 and then the RPR 6.5-CM. Now she's hooked! The last couple of trips, I took her to the rifle range at 100 and 200 yards. Today was her 9th time ever shooting. The shooting line was at 200 yards today.

The 4-shot cluster were her first four shots on this bullseye. After the 4th shot, she paused and said, "Now I'm nervous about the 5th shot." Welcome to the club! Sure enough, she pulled it a bit. But, still a well-sub-MOA group even with the 5th shot!

It has everything. Rifle, handgun, trap, skeet, sporting clays, archery, fishing, indoor handgun and rimfire. And it’s 5 minutes from my house, and office.

I’ve made some great like minded friends at this place too.
The worst part is, I’m still less than 40, and all these guys are pushing 80. I’m going to be having to go to some funerals shortly, I’m sure, and it suck.

Guns are like cars. Only really limited by your imagination and willingness to pay for what you want. There is no production 5.7x28 bolt gun that I’m aware of though.

2.3 (11 yo) shooting Triple D’s gun...he’s basically a crack dealer giving out samples.

2.2 got his first and second deer this weekend. 1st one right at 100m, second ran toward us and he got it on the love at about 40m, maybe 10 seconds total elapsed time if we had a shot timer. Not groups but good shooting out of a 13 yo.

My boy was 6 and daughter was 5. He is 7 now and pretty good handling. She kinda lost interest and picked it back up when she was about 10.

My son's first shots were at age 8. He's been a few times, but he can take it or leave it.... no real interest.

My daughter's first shots were at age 10. But, only recently (age 14 - 15) did she take a keen interest in precision rifle shooting.

My little guy is 10 he will get behind anything. His favorite it shooting SASS. He did cowboy action yesterday. Shot 22lr military trainer match last weekend. Then a photo at club picnic shooting at 600yds.

Took my 15 year old girl to the range today... 200 yards. I wanted to see how she'd do with the RPR 6.5 without the muzzle brake in anticipation of attending a 600-yard match next weekend, where they don't allow muzzle brakes. She did great! This is only her 11th time behind ANY gun.

We started with the AR-15. And, her best group was an honest-to-goodness sub-1/2-MOA group!

Back in December, I took my girl to a 600 yard range (an F-class match).

Here are her first 12 shots at 600 yards. First sighter was a 10-ring (6 inches). Second sighter was an X-ring (3 inches)! Her VERY FIRST two shots at 600 yards! After the 12th shot, we had a quick monsoon and had to stop for about 30 minutes. I forgot to get an e-target screen grab of the other 8 shots. But, a 184-3X for her first time ever at 600 yards... We'll take it!

Third target... We were rushed by the Match Director, unfortunately.
They ran ONE relay for all three stages to expedite the event due to low attendance and iffy weather. Since my daughter and I were sharing a rifle, that meant we were in the same relay and had HALF the time, assuming we split it evenly - which of course, we didn't. I hurried even more, so she could have more time. We had to get our 44 shots in within 22 minutes. All the other shooters had the full 22 minutes for each stage, as they were single shooters rather than squaded with another shooter.

Needless to say, we were RUSHED. And, the barrel never got to cool down. Still, not bad!

Gear: RPR 6.5 Creedmoor. Vortex Viper HST 6-24X50. Harris bipod. Rear squeeze bag. Factory Berger Target Hybrid 140-gr ammo.
