Now its a USA VS China thread huh? I bet 90% of the stuff in your house is from China.
I dont need good customer service from a light manufacturer if the light cost 75% less. I buy one light if it breaks I buy another and I still save 50%. Problem solved.
And I really like the welfare mentality of your post. If "I" drop it and break it its my fault and "I" want someone else to fix it for free. How wonderful! And you brag about that? All your dropping and breaking the light did was drive up the cost of the surefire light to everyone else. Everyone else has to pay for your mistake. You had customer service help you. You had shipping help you. You had manufacturing help you all for free. Talk about spreading the wealth.
NO THANKS! If I break it I pay for it. I dont need any ---->FREE HANDOUTS! NO SIR!

Hey <span style="font-weight: bold">Jackass</span>, I mean problemchild,
I happen to move machines with enough zero's in the weight and $$$ to make your lil boy ass pucker. Most of the time I have to do that in the middle of the night, rain or shine. I need a light that works RELIABLY. Thats why I chose SF. And will stick with SF.
And for your information, <span style="font-weight: bold">jackass</span>, when I so flaggerantly " dropped" my light, I was climbing to the top of the machine on the trailer to measure my height so I don't be a <span style="font-weight: bold">jackass</span>, and hit a bridge or powerlines. It was wet, I was over 15 ft in the air, and it slipped out of my hands.
Since I'm not a <span style="font-weight: bold">jackass</span> I carried TWO - MADE IN THE USA SUREFIRE LIGHTS. So I had a backup, and I carried on with my morning.
After I got home I promptly called SF, and I told them "<span style="font-weight: bold">I dropped my light from a scraper</span>, how can I <span style="font-weight: bold">PURCHASE</span> a replacement lense?"
SF - "...we'll get one out to you today..."
J - " ...here's my cc#.."
SF - "Mr Jake, we stand behind our product. It's free of charge."
J - " this is not a warranty issue. It slipped out of my hands when I was on top of a machine at work...."
SF - "...it will go out today."
So, if you would have just chilled out with a cup of shutthefukup, and really try to understand the point of my post in the first place, I wouldn't have to be wasting my breath on peepee's like you.
And by the way, it's nutsacks fluffers like you that push our MFG overseas. So what if you spend a few bucks more on a better made product?
ITS KEEPING OUR HOMEBOYS EMPLOYED, AND SUPPORTING OUR GREAT COUNTRY.
<span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="font-weight: bold">BUY AMERICAN. IT AIN'T JUST A SLOGAN, IT'S A LIFESTYLE.</span></span>
And I live it MF. SO FUCK YOU AND YOUR HANDOUTS. BITCH. </div></div>
Nice attitude and language, way to prove your point!
Its corporate greed and the current political BS that drives manufacturing overseas. I tried to buy American for a long time and finally gave up as NO ONE makes shit over here anymore. I recently bought what I thought was a smoker oven made in Texas by Smokin-Tex. When I was taking the very expensive smoker out of the box I see the "Made in China" sticker on the back. Its OVER! Things are not made here anymore. Blame the politicians for allowing outsourcing and all the other BS. Your anger is really misguided.

Enjoy your welfare chinese parts flashlight that cost 4x as much as any of the other lights I mentioned and isnt any better quality then a fenix, jetbeam or nitecore. That SF just cost more and has a lot less lumens. When I dropped my fenix it didnt break and I didnt have to request a welfare replacement. One last thing if you look at the picture I posted I DID buy surefire lights (3). They are an OK light but too expensive for what you get. If surefire made an MCE or SST50 for 100 I would buy it. They dont! Like I have said numerous times before in this WAY off topic pissing contest of a post SF lights are out dated technology. Where is the current cutting edge technology from SF? Did you know old technology and lack of new cutting edge lights is the main complaint of SF fans?
Surefires brightest LED light is 200 lumens. They were supposed to (announced 2 years ago) release the UB3. It never came to life like the many other lights they were supposed to release. Heres is a picture of the ub3 that never came to life. They did release an incan 2000 lumen monster a long time ago that cost $4,400 dollars. By the way it would have cost aprox 400 dollars for the UB3.
Maybe if I get a chance I will post some white wall comparisons of my SF lights compared to the other lights so you can see the difference in brightness.

Just curious where you are getting your facts about where are components are made? All the aluminum is machined in house, our reflectors and tailcaps as well machined in house. The anodizing is done by a local company. The aluminum is refilled every week by a distributor locally and without a lot of investigation I don't think it is coming from China. The glass I believe is produced in country. The only thing I can think of off the top of my head that is manufactured outside the US is Seoul semiconductor led's are made in Korea. Led's though I don't even know if there is really a manufacturer in the US.
I just want to know where you got this info that you are posting about all our materials coming from China.
Thanks,
Chuck
