    Tooling costs money!

Sharpies are cheaper! Since it's permanent marker it shouldn't rub off so this is how I'm marking the calibers now on barrels.

Just doin a little proofing of a new engraving program on a client's barrel. Sharpies are easy ways to make sure the code works before I start chewing on the cylinder. Here's the finished product.

Great stuff Chad. Everybody has a different opinion..really only matters what the owner of the rifle likes! Keep the posts coming, I really enjoy your craftsmanship. Being in Omaha, I will have to plan to see some in person when I can get to Sturgis sometime, if possible.

I think it's mostly the light. I have a snorty halogen in the mill that makes your face melt off if you stand by the machine too long.

I have over 10,000 different fonts on file (not kidding) so it's all a matter of what a guy wants.

Cathy Winsteads multiple World, US, and Canadian championship winning smallbore silhouette rifle that I built for her back in 2005. She's sponsored by Eley and one of the US reps for the company.

Here's some other stuff I do. Fuel dots for giant scale RC planes. Basically its a gas cap for a radio controlled airplane.

This uses surface projection type tool paths. Little different programming/process, but the same end result.
