I just finished up my .308 gas gun and test fired it today. I was able to touch groups of 3 several times using hornady match 168 and 175gr smk hand loads. My only complaint is, The hornady match brass was being filleted and had burs on rear end of the brass. Around the primer to the edge, it had sharp burs and looked as if it was skinned.

What's the specs? Barrel length, gas system length, adjustable/fixed gas block, magazine type, stock/buffer combo, etc. Sounds like you may be over gassed and the bolt face is striking the base of the casing too hard during feeding.
Gas guns typically eat up the brass by nature, but there are ways of slowing down the cyclic rate with adjustable gas blocks or heavier buffers. Pics of the burrs you're talking about would help too.

My rifle is a noveske complete upper with an 18" barrel. Non adjustable gas block. DI not piston. Two primers fell out of factory loaded hornady match ammo after they were fired. I wouldnt think these would be hot rounds? I am running armalite 20round mag. Not sure if this is happening when ejecting the shell or feeding. Everything seems to run smooth. My buffer is a JP silent buffer.

You wouldn't happen to be running Hornady Superperformance, would you? It's known to be finicky in them and many do not recommend it's use in rifles with a shorter than rifle length gas system.

Thanks for the link. I think this is exactly what is going on with my rifle. I am havering the exact same issues with the Hornady 168s
