I wonder what would happen if Burris made a 1-6x24 optic...for $650....that was made in the USA, had one of the top reticles available, daylight illumination, Milrad locking knobs with option for BDC custom turrets.

Buell....err....Burris? Still out there guys? I know pot is legal in Colorado now, but it would be a super good idea to come back to us...walk towards the light!

Seems like Burris has pretty much missed the tactical shooting boat altogether. About the only thing they make that interests me is the fastfire halo sight. It's unfortunate, because they really do make some very good glass for the money. I prefer their hunting optics over Leupold.

Steiner/Burris is selling everything that they can produce right now. I know that you guys don't have a look behind the scenes, but don't be lulled into thinking that they have missed the boat in the tactical market. Their MTAC line is very successful compared to other popular manufactures that have trouble meeting their production schedules.

They have some things in the pipe that will appeal to the hide crowd that hopefully we'll see some time around SHOT.

I have a friend who's an engineer there (it's down the street) but I think they are mostly focused on the mid-priced hunting market as they've put a huge stake in their eliminator scope and that generally seems to the the route they're taking. If you think about it, there are a lot more hunters out there that just want a good decently priced piece of glass than there are of us. I bet the vast majority of people who buy scopes only look through that scope once or twice a year.

Since Burris did away with the Signature and Black Diamond lines, I wonder if they, (Beretta), did that because they also own Steiner. It seems the Burris products are low to mid range offerings made in PI
