My xtr3 came with exposed windage turret, It also came with cap in box if I wanted to cap. Contact Doug at Camerland. He will take care of you.Does anyone know if I can get the non capped windage turret for the illuminated 5.5-30 xtr3. Would prefer to have it non capped with your standard turret. But was told they don’t make it for the illuminated models.
Incorrect. My new 3 illuminated has exposed, not capped. New stock must have been changed. Camerland has new stock. The original xtr3’s came with capped or exposed, the newer illuminated ones only come with the capped windage turrets.
A windage cap is included in the scope box so you can cap if you want.Interesting. So do the new stock have the option for capped as well? The capped windage was a big plus for me and I was about to order another 5-30.
Apologize for spreading bad information, I will contact Burris today to verify then edit my post.
Correct. Windage is lower.Ok, so it does not have the dedicated large exposed windage turret that matches the elevation turret? The original xtr3’s came with a small windage turret that could be capped or you could remove the small capped turret and replace it with a large windage turret that matched the elevation turret and could not be capped.
Here is a picture of the original non capped turret that came with the originals.
Does anyone know if Burris is still doing the first responder program? I’ve tried to reach out but haven’t received a response, likely from the holidays.
Thanks Rob. I have ExpertVoice and saw the price of the XTR3i and Pro’s being teased shortly after they were released but they quickly disappeared and I haven’t seen them pop up. I did also see what Scott had to offer but wasn’t sure if the price in the cart was going to be the end price. I’ll probably purchase through Liberty Optics when I’m ready to buy, unless they pop back up on EV. Just window shopping now. When I asked I was told it is through Expertvoice. They don't do direct. Also if going through Expertvoice don't plan to get the whole catalog of Burris as they only have some of the products from time to time. I was looking for a Pro a few months back and they didn't have them there and I tried contacting the person at Burris who handles Expertvoice about if they were going to be available through Expertvoice again and never got him to pick up his phone or return my call. I called more than a dozen times and left messages. Guess he doesn't speak with the public. So sign up and see if they have what you want. If not then go look at Liberty Optics as they have prices almost at Expertvoice level.

Was it the Burris person in charge of Expertvoice or just a customer service rep?
Anymore, as in out of stock, or no producing them, anymore?Stinks that Burris no longer includes the non-capped larger windage turret. Called them today to see about getting one and they do not have anymore.
If anyone has one they don’t want I’d be happy to buy it from you.
From what I understood, not producing them anymore. Will only have capped windage turrets.Anymore, as in out of stock, or no producing them, anymore?
My XTR3i 5.5-30x56 came last week and has both capped and exposed windage turrents included. Capped installed, exposed sitting in the box. Has a slot in the foam and everything. My friend bought one earlier this year and it didn't come with an exposed turret but did ship with a throw lever? From what I understood, not producing them anymore. Will only have capped windage turrets.
My XTR-3i 5.5-30x56 I bought from EuroOptic a few months ago didn't come with the spare exposed windage turret. My XTR3i 5.5-30x56 came last week and has both capped and exposed windage turrents included. I don't think you'll find a better deal than that on a new one. And yes, I still shoot mine almost weekly and still enjoying it.So, after reading a lot of the posts about the Burris XTR scope I am interested in the 5-30x56 illuminated. Its been out for a few years, so do all of you that bought one still like it for the price??
BTW, Europtics has them for $899 new. Is there a better deal???
Curious which zoom do you have and what range are you typically shooting at?I don't think you'll find a better deal than that on a new one. And yes, I still shoot mine almost weekly and still enjoying it.
To think that XTR3 is only $300 more than an arken really makes me rethink prior decisions.
Low key I want that Athlon 2-12 FFP. They are amazingThe Arken may be a better scope… the Athlon Helos and Ares certainly are.

Sold lolYep I have two of them, one went on my SPR and the MK4HD went down the road. They’re surprisingly good as is the 4-20 version. The worst part about them is feeling like a disgusting POS for buying chinesium and liking it.
Sold lol
Everyone gonna hate me but I put the Arken 4-16 FFP hunting scope on my 30-06 lol
Once I can get a 2-12 Athlon I’ll use the Arken for a 22 or something. Despite all the whoring they do get some things rightI got 2 Ares 3-18 ETR’s to test out and slapped one on my Element 7PRC. It had a XTR3 on it previously but I sold it and two others because they suck.
I don’t think I could give an Arken the time of day though because of their shilling with every YouTube faggot having a discount code and getting a kick back. They’ve got an army of retards pimping their stuff.

I have the 5.5-30x56 SCR2 MIL. Currently my local range only goes to 300, but I've spent plenty of time glassing things much further away.Curious which zoom do you have and what range are you typically shooting at?
Forgive my ignorance but I don't think I know the difference . Can you share a picture of the capped and exposed turrets on the Burris XTR??My XTR3i 5.5-30x56 came last week and has both capped and exposed windage turrents included. No they’re not.The Arken may be a better scope… the Athlon Helos and Ares certainly are.
No they’re not.
